We love it when customers get in touch with us to tell us about their skiing holidays and their experience of wearing Winternational designer ski wear. As we are fortunate enough to have amazing customers from all over the world we get to join in these adventures vicariously. None of us gets enough holiday time after all and so the team and I at Winternational enjoy hearing about holidays, fab mountain restaurants and hideaway luxury chalets and ski resorts, famous or lesser known. Here's a story that is so unusual and so exciting I felt compelled to share it with you all!

When Beatrice Spates de Lannoy from Belgium was planning her trip to the Arctic Circle she approached Winternational for help with her winter wardrobe. She chose the beautiful red Montana ski jacket by French label Fusalp (sold out now but similar here) and teamed it with warm black ski pantsbase layers and a really great camera.

Beatrice travelled to mainland Norway and then headed up to Svalbard to see the landscape and wildlife before embarking on an 11 hour Arctic challenge consisting of kayaking and hiking.

She was lucky enough to see a polar bear ( but sadly no camera recorded this amazing moment!). Other animals Beatrice saw on her adventure include a humpbacked whale, walruses and Svalbard deer.

Beatrice told us that friends complimented her on her ski jacket, saying how beautiful the red looked against the scenery. And we are loving that Beatrice teamed the red ski jacket with a matching hairband!

By choosing a luxury ski jacket from the French ski and lifestyle brand Fusalp, she selected a garment that would perform in many different types of cold weather and a garment that would look stylish too.

The quilted ski jacket offers warmth and versatility. Quilting compresses insulation. The warming and protective nature of the garment is retained without compromising the look of the designer ski jacket. As insulation is compressed, bulkiness is reduced. Since this wonderful and memorable trip the the Arctic, Beatrice has worn her ski jacket on two holidays to the French Alps. She says, "I must admit that when I first received it, I wondered if it would keep me warm enough, as it’s not nearly as bulky as my old ski jacket. But I never suffered from the cold, and my group of friends admired my bright new outfit. Thanks very much."

We'd like to thank Beatriz for allowing us to share her photos and the story of her amazing adventure to the Arctic Circle. It's so wonderful to see our beautiful ski wear being put to great use in a slightly different way.
