W: We're so excited to have Linla on board with Winternational Please tell us what inspired you to create the Linla knitwear label? Every great brand starts with a spark!
B: As a passionate skier, I’ve always found it challenging to find apparel that blends technical performance with stylish design suitable for après-ski settings.
More recently, I noticed that the brands I used to wear no longer made me feel confident or flattered - so I decided to create Linla.
W: How do your designs capture the spirit of modern mountain life? Your pieces feel made for the slopes yet elegant enough for dinner — how do you balance sport and sophistication?
B: Overpacking for ski holidays has always been a common challenge. We all try to bring stylish pieces for the slopes, the ski village, and evenings out, often ending up with an overflowing suitcase.
The idea behind Linla Knitwear was to create apparel technical enough for the mountain, yet elegant and versatile enough to wear with jeans for dinner.
We designed a jumper that is the perfect fit: tailored for a comfortable and flattering silhouette. The fine-gauge knit provides exceptional warmth without bulk, making it ideal for layering under a jacket.

W: Can you tell us about the materials and craftsmanship behind each piece? You prioritise ethically sourced wool and European ateliers.
B: We take great pride in our production process. Our partners are carefully selected for their commitment to excellence and sustainability, sourcing the highest quality Merino wool from South Africa and Australia in accordance with accredited Responsible Wool Standards.
We work closely with our ethically certified partners in India, all of whom we have visited to ensure fair and responsible working conditions.
Wool is manually dyed using only natural dyes, a time-intensive process that forgoes harsh chemicals in favour of environmental care. Each piece combines precise machine craftsmanship with hand-stitched finishing touches to achieve its refined final look.
W: How does your brand merge performance with luxury in cold-weather style? It's something Winternational and our customers regard as really important. Functionality and beauty often compete — how do you make them work together?
B: By using Merino wool, we’re able to combine luxury with functionality for cold-weather performance. After testing dozens of materials, we chose Merino for its exceptional ability to regulate body temperature through natural breathability and moisture-wicking properties. It also retains warmth even when damp.
Naturally soft, non-itchy, and odour-resistant, Merino wool offers lasting comfort - allowing you to wear it for multiple days without compromise. The high turtleneck is designed to deliver maximum coziness, efficient heat retention, and a refined aesthetic—all essential qualities for a great winter jumper.

W: Such a great answer. It's so important to be able to wear garments for skiing that perform and look good from the start of the skiing day to après! What's your kind of après? For some it’s a moment of rest, for others a bit of a party!
B: Apres-ski in my view is something fun and exciting. Somewhere where everyone can enjoy the time together, whether you ski or not.
W: Please tell us about the woman you design for?
B: I often struggled to find pieces that were both flattering and confidence-boosting, rather than overwhelming with excess fabric.
This challenge inspired the creation of my brand - designed with women like me in mind, focusing on fit, proportion, and timeless style that enhances rather than hides.
W: Given we all need to be more aware of buying sensibly and your company ethos, it seems sustainability and slow fashion are vital to your brand philosophy. Luxury and responsibility are a modern pairing — how does Linla Knitwear champion both?
B: Both of these principles are at the core of our brand ethos. We’re not here to chase trends or produce designs in volume - we’re committed to creating timeless pieces that our customers can cherish and enjoy for years to come.

8. Your designs seem so flexible which speaks to the above need to be mindful about creating longlasting pieces to take you from the slopes to the chalet to travel days and more.
B: The core design philosophy behind Linla is versatility - you can wear our pieces anywhere without ever feeling out of place. Each garment is crafted to be truly multi-purpose: a jumper you can pair effortlessly with ski salopettes on the slopes or with jeans in the city.
W: We’re such fans and would love a preview of what’s on the horizon for Linla!
B: This season, we’re focused on growing Linla’s brand recognition while laying the groundwork for our next collection.
We are excited to partner up with Winternational this season, they have one of the best online reaches within the ski world! Our upcoming designs will continue to centre on women’s knitwear, with plans to explore new silhouettes - such as introducing round-neck styles alongside our signature turtlenecks.
W: Oooh, that sounds exciting and will offer even more flexibility! Why are skiing and the mountains so important to you?
B: My father is Swiss and lives in the mountains, so from an early age, I spent an average of eight weeks each season on the slopes. I’ve loved skiing ever since, returning as often as I can.
There’s something magical about the crisp mountain air and breathtaking views, especially in the evenings with the lights and decorations.
W: Please give us an example of your perfect winter day?
B: A perfect day for me begins with an early family breakfast, followed by hitting the slopes around 10:00 for some skiing. By 14:00, it’s time for lunch in a lively spot with great food and plenty of atmosphere. Afterward, I enjoy skiing down to an après-ski bar around 17:00 for a final drink before heading home. By 19:00, it’s all about relaxing with nibbles by the fire, enjoying cozy moments surrounded by family.
W: Love a late lunch in the sunshine! And what piece from your collection do you wear most?
B: My personal favourite is the Red Verbier Jumper because its unique, complex colour is directly and deeply linked to treasured personal memories of spending my childhood in Verbier with my father, giving the garment powerful emotional significance beyond its luxurious quality.

W: That connection sounds so on brand. Given how all encompassing entrepreneur life is (we know!) how do you unwind and recharge away from Linla Knitwear?
B: When I’m not working on my brand, I cherish unwinding with my newborn daughter and my husband. We love escaping to the English countryside, where we can fully disconnect from the everyday. Long walks and simply enjoying time together as a family are some of our favourite moments.
W: Beatrice, thanks so much for taking the time to chat with us about your inspiration behind Linla and thanks too for creating such beautiful knitwear. Winternational customers and team alike are huge fans of the concept, the styles and the fit of these amazing ski jumpers.
We know too how much our customers love learning about the labels stocked at Winternational and they appreciate small brands combining an ethical ethos, exclusivity and the dedication that goes into producing amazing quality garments.
